Ugandans do not have Social Security, or Medicare to rely on in old age. Consequently, they depend on the generosity of family members and friends to support them in old age. Those that do not have able-bodied partners or children to help them with activities of daily living are left at the mercy of society. They can go hungry, and are unable to afford medical care. Instill Hope Organization has offered financial support and collaborated with caring community members to support those that have no family yet are in need of assistance.
